Meet Hank! Hank was found with bandage wrapped around one of his front legs, and he was in a sorry state. Unfortunately, the bandage had been there for too long, and had caused necrosis. Necrosis is the death of most or all of the cells in an organ or tissue due to disease, injury, or failure of the blood supply.
In other words, the leg of this poor 8-week-old pup had to be amputated, as the tissue had become completely rotten. There was no way for doctors to save his little leg, so in order to prevent further infection, amputation was the only remaining option.
It turned out though that this brave puppy was not going to allow this to prevent him from being happy and active! Watch this video to see what happened after the procedure!
