Two beautiful Border Collies called Laverne and Shirley ran away from their foster home one day. They jumped over the fence and disappeared. The people from the Victoria Humane Society, however, were not about to give up on them, they were absolutely adamant that they were going to find them. They employed every single trick in the book in this exhaustive search expedition, from blood hounds to spectral imaging units.
In addition to that they had put up more than 500 posters all around the city, but they still couldn’t find them. Then, they set up more than 50 cameras in various places, and they finally caught them on video. Finally, they knew where the pups were, so the next step was catching them. In order to achieve that, they put up an elaborate food trap which captured them after a 61 day long search.
Laverne and Shirley are now safe in a foster home going through the rehabilitation process. Hopefully their future will be much better then their past. Before they arrived at the shelter they used to live on a hoarder’s property together with 50 other dogs. They were underfed and unhappy. We know that somewhere, there is a family that is going to make them happy.
