What is ‘a good person’? For me, a good person has always meant someone who is willing to go the extra mile to help others, especially those less fortunate who can’t speak for themselves i.e. animals! In this video you are going to meet one such person.
One freezing day in Racine, Wisconsin a loveable pup fell through the ice into the freezing water of lake Michigan. The temperature of the water was 1,5 degrees celsius (35 degrees fahrenheit), which is too cold for anyone to survive. Against all odds, however, this beautiful dog survived thanks to Jennifer Pluta, a wonderful lady who spotted him and immediately called 911. She was so adamant to help him that the police had to talk her out of jumping in the lake! But could the police arrive in time? The race was on!
Luckily, the people from Wisconsin Humane Society reacted quickly and arrived at the spot in the nick of time to take the poor thing out of the freezing water! If they had been late by just a couple of minutes, he wouldn’t have survived. Appropriately, they named this cutie Michigan!
Watching this heartwarming story will no doubt help you restore some faith in humanity!
