We all heard wonderful stories about the doctor-patient relationship. Generally, we would think of two humans, but the following story is about Dr. Andy Mathis, a wonderful person and an excellent vet, and a pit bull puppy who was in a very, very bad condition. And when we say “bad”, we mean the vet had serious doubts whether to put the pup to sleep or try to save her life. Luckily he chose to do everything he could to make Graycie healthy again.
After the medical care at the Vet Teaching Hospital of the University of Georgia, Dr. Matis took the poor pup back to his clinic and continued to take care of her. The poor pup got so attached to Dr. Matis that she couldn’t eat if he wasn’t near. So, Dr. Matis did the most wonderful thing – he sat in the cage and shared his meal with Graycie. It’s heart-melting!
